The driver pulled over, and I thought we had arrived in Malagana. I was very curious to see what a place with that name looked like, but no one stood up or asked for the bus door to be opened. I stayed still, looking out the window at the yellow-green of the mountain and a small house leaning to one side, where some children were playing with a dog.
I envied the animal, who got bored all of a sudden and went to lie down under the shade of a big tree whose name I didn’t know. I wish I knew the names of all the plants.
Monday
We went to work on the motorbike this morning because there was no one to stay with me. When I woke up, Grandma Joaquina had breakfast ready and was getting some laundry ready. So I snuck out. I told my uncle I'd rather go with him to explore the town.
My aunt Nayeli lives there, I've always visited her a lot.
I love her, but she scolds me a lot.
